As March hits there is no question there is a different smell in the air when the sun rises. That musty, earthy, salty smell makes me think its almost time. A quick look at the weather report puts a halt to that as a cold front rolls through to spoil the fun. It is time, though, to get our tackle right for the upcoming season. I cleaned all the reels after the season so I will run back and spool fresh line on the reels that need it. The rods went through all the proper repairs needed from a chaotic fishing season that was as good as It gets, magical at times. Despite a rough 2020, the Tunas, Stripers, and bottom dweller fish don't seem to care about the Rona and will return soon.
